April Favorites!

Hey everybody! I have a few April beauty favorites to share with you all! Some of these are new purchases and there is one older product that I have rediscovered in my makeup collection!
On the left is the No.7 Intelligent Balance Mousse Foundation in 20 Blonde. This is something that I had bought a long time ago and never really figured out the best way of applying it. Usually I use the Make Up For Ever HD Liquid Foundation and I noticed that I was kind of running low. I didn't want to use it all up so I looked for something else that I could use instead. I found this foundation in the back of my drawer all lonely and abandoned. I used it with my Real Techniques expert face brush (also a favorite for this month) and I was amazed at how flawless the finish was. It's almost a little too flawless, so I like to use a spritz of water on my face after applying blush/bronzer/powder/etc. so that it looks more natural. I definitely recommend this because it was pretty cheap (around $11-$14 I believe) and it can be found at Target!
The next April Favorite is the elf blush in Candid Coral. I love this blush because it has just the right amount of shimmer and is a great color for this season!

Two of my other April Favorites are those that I have already talked about before and are the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer and the Real Techniques expert face brush. The concealer is so easy to use in a hurry and the brush is absolutely amazing for a flawless finish.
Next I have the Wet n Wild Coloricon brow & eye liner in 648 Taupe. I was in the market for a new brow pencil and figured I would just grab this one because it was $.68. That's right...........68 cents. Can life get any better? Anyways, I love this pencil for my brows. If you didn't notice in the picture, it is a super long pencil which means I am getting so much more for that 68 cents I bought it for! It is a pretty basic pencil, nothing crazy about it, but works great for me. Lastly is the L'Oreal Carbon Black Lineur Intense Felt Tip Liquid Eyeliner. I've had bad experiences with felt tip liners in the past (cough cough Maybelline Line Stiletto Eyeliner and MAC's Penultimate Liquid Eyeliner cough cough) so I was a bit hesitant but this is so great. I have never been able to get a more precise application with any other eyeliner before. There is not really much else to say about it other than it looks beautiful and is so easy to use!

What are some of your favorites for the month of April?

Review: Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer

Hey everybody! Today I wanted to review the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Treatment Concealer. I know that I am not in my old age and don't necessarily need makeup directed toward older skin, however I have heard so many people talking about how great this concealer is. I have to say that I agree. There are so many reasons why this concealer rocks!

I have the shade, Fair, which is the lightest one.

So the first reason why I love this concealer is because of how easy it is to use. To get the product out, you turn the red part at the top and the product comes through the top. It is kind of a giant doe-foot applicator and at first I was a little nervous about how sanitary it was, but I then learned that the top is protected with an anti-microbial system so that it stays clean. It is really easy to just swipe it under your eyes. Also, I really like how creamy this concealer is. I find it so easy to blend out and I don't notice too much creasing as long as I set it with loose powder.

Overall I am really pleased with this product! I think it is great for when you are in a rush because sometimes I will use this all on its own with a bit of mascara and be done! I haven't tried the foundation but if anyone has I would love to hear about it!

Leave me a comment!

Nails of the Week: Nude and Pastel

This week I have painted my nails with a taupe-nude and pastel combo. I am a sucker for nudes and this polish is my favorite of them all. It is Nude 4 by Urban Outfitters. The pastel pink is Lilac Pastelle 185 by Revlon. I've got to admit, Revlon is my favorite for nail polish. They have a huge range of shades at a low price (plus they last forever). As a college student, isn't that all I could really ask for?

I have used the Revlon as an accent color on each ring finger, and the UO on all the rest.

Review: Clarisonic Mia!

So I am pretty behind the whole Clarisonic Mia obsession here, but better late than never! I received the Mia as a gift from my parents. I have been using it for about 3 weeks now and I have got to say that I am hooked. I am one of those people that really enjoys washing my face and this makes me feel like I am cleaning my skin so much better! Usually I have quite dry skin and I have not noticed any dryness since using this. I have heard that some people have sort of a "purging phase" where their skin breaks out a bit before it gets better, but I haven't had any of that. My skin has been extremely clear and I am loving it!

I am really happy with the Clarisonic Mia and I expect to keep this in my daily routine for many years. Do any of you have the Mia? If so, how do you feel about it?

Easter and Birthday Beauty Haul

Hey everyone! So last weekend I went home to celebrate Easter with my family and we also celebrated my birthday which was on the 13th! I got some new goodies that I can't wait to share with you!

LEFT: L'Occitane hand cream TOP: J.R. Watkins foot cream RIGHT: Ahava body lotion.

First off I've got a few new hand/foot/body creams. First is the J.R. Watkins Rejuvenating Foot Cream. It smells of peppermint and claims to be 98.9% natural. Recently I have been trying to buy some more natural products to eliminate any skin irritants. In the warmer months I always get cracked heels so I wanted to try some foot cream. I have used this a few times and I would say its alright so far. I haven't noticed anything extraordinary yet! Next is the Ahava Mineral Botanic Velvet Body Lotion in Hibiscus and Fig. Before Easter I was in Ulta with my mom and we tried out this lotion. It smelled amazing but was pretty pricey. My mom surprised me with it by putting it in my Easter basket! I really like this because it feels really luxurious and I seem to smell it all day long when I use it. Lastly I picked up the L'Occitane Dry Skin Hand Cream with some birthday money I'd received. I have the smaller travel size version and I really like it. I usually avoid hand lotion because of how greasy it usually is. This is a huge exception! This hand cream is not greasy at all and sort of smells like baby powder. I really recommend this one!

LEFT: JASON Tea Tree Shampoo RIGHT: Neutrogena Hydrating Acne Treatment

Next I've got a few random products. Again with the natural organic kick, I picked up this JASON Tea Tree Shampoo. I have heard that tea tree oil is great for normalizing the scalp and this also claims to have all natural ingredients. I haven't used this yet, but I am excited to see if it makes a big difference. Next is the Neutrogena 3-in-1 Hydrating Acne Stress Control Treatment. I really love this product, and it is apparent by the two other bottles I have gone through. I put this gel on after I wash my face and it really dries to a smooth finish. I have really noticed a difference in how clear my skin has been. Even having quite dry skin, I never notice any flaking or anything when using this product.

From left to right: elf Blush in Candid Coral, Real Techniques Expert Face Brush, Sugar SPF 15 Lip Treatment, Sugar Rose SPF 15 Tinted Lip Treatment, Revlon Nail polish in Whimsical, Alien Eau de Parfum by Thierry Mugler, and a small makeup case from Forever 21

The last bunch of things are all makeup related. I picked up an elf Blush in Candid Coral and I find it really flattering on my pale skin tone. I could see this being flattering on many skin tones, and I'm really excited to try this with a tan. The next thing is a Real Techniques brush by Samantha Chapman of Pixiwoo! This is the Expert Face Brush and I really have to say that now I understand the hype! For applying my liquid foundation, I usually use a Duo Fibre F50 brush from Sigma but now I don't even think I will ever go back. I find this brush really nice for applying my liquid foundation because it is really dense but also very soft. I really cannot wait to try out some more of them. Next are two Sugar SPF 15 Lip Treatments. One is the original and the other is a Rose Tinted Lip Treatment. I actually got these for free from Sephora for my birthday for being a Beauty Insider. I actually really enjoy these and  they are quite handy to just throw in your bag. Next is the Revlon Nail polish in Whimsical. I have been waiting for ages to get my hands on this and every time I look for it, it is out of stock. This nail polish is a sheer mint color with pastel blue and pink different sized sparkles. I am thinking that I will put this on over another mint green color that I have. Next is something I received from my birthday and I have wanted to try it out ever since I have heard Barbara from ThePersianbabe talk about this. It is the Alien Eau de Parfum from Thierry Mugler. I am in love with this perfume because it is unlike any other I have ever tried. The Sephora website says that the notes are Solar Accord, Jasmine Sambac, Green Notes, Cashmeran, Vanilla, and Transparent Amber. Honestly, I have no idea what any of that means but you have to go out and smell for yourself. I have to say that I can really smell the vanilla and jasmine. It is such a unique scent that I really think would turn heads anywhere. Laaaaaastly is a small makeup bag from Forever 21 that was only around $6. I needed a new one because the zipper on my other one broke. It is a perfect size to throw in your bag!

Here is the swatch for the elf Blush in Candid Coral. I told you it was beautiful!

Favorite Springtime Jewelry!

Lately there have been a few jewelry pieces that I cannot stop wearing! In my mind, they seem to go with everything! Here are my favorites!...
First are a few bracelets...The one on the left is a cute little rose gold bangle from H&M. I really like how simple it is, because it looks nice worn by itself or with other pieces. The other 6 little bracelets are also from H&M I believe, but they are from last year. I really like them because of the nice pastel colors. The gold accents really dress them up.

Next are 4 pairs of earrings that I cannot stop wearing. The pair on the top left are really adorable little pastel flowers with gold hardware. I believe they were from Forever 21 a few years ago. The top middle pair has these nice pale blue stones with gold hardware. These are really nice because they can be worn dressed up or down. I believe they are from Francesca's Boutique last year. The top right pair is really nice because they can be worn with nearly everything because of the color. They look really nice against my dark hair! They are from Forever 21 last year. I bought the pair on the bottom from a store somewhere in Sedona, Arizona but I can't remember where. I love them because the detailing looks like the middle of a sunflower. The only downside is that they are very heavy. I cannot wear this pair for more than a few hours.

Next is this awesome hand chain that I recently bought from Asos. I was a little weary about how the quality of the piece would be because a few months back I had bought a bracelet from there but was less than impressed with the quality so it was returned. This piece does not seem too cheap although there is not much to it. It is so delicate and really stands out. The little ring is from a set below that I will further explain in a minute. :)

I recently picked up these little gold rings from Forever 21. I bought them in the smallest size I could find so that I could wear them on the top knuckle of my fingers. I popped off the little bead on one of them so it could be a simple little band. Good thing they were so cheap, because they are still a little too big for my fingers, but I wanted to try out this new trend so bad!

I picked up this next set of rings from H&M last weekend. Again, I bought these in the smallest size I could find so I could wear them on the top knuckle of my fingers. These are also pretty big on me so there are only a few that I could wear. For around $6 I can't complain!
